Finding Founders Podcast is a growing entrepreneurship podcast…

Originally a small team of under 20 people, I joined Finding Founders as they reached a surge in growth and popularity across platforms. However, the podcast did not have a regularly updated social media or content marketing strategy, and a very barebones team of designers and writers.

I became design and social media team lead for Finding Founders, and worked closely with the podcast’s producers, host, and other team leads. This work included developing a content strategy and implementing it onto Finding Founders’ social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I worked one-on-one with designers and writers, leading the team and creating our social presence from the ground up, while also helping edit and produce the podcast.

Our social media channels grew rapidly after implementing my strategy, with a 123.5% increase of Facebook followers in under 3 months. Several of our posts reached over 5,000 impressions and were reposted by numerous accounts. I was able to craft a consistent posting schedule and content calendar that allowed the team to output consistent content each week, and has since made room for more creative growth by team members, who are now putting out their own content ideas on our socials. Finally, I created a team and organization culture that helped build confidence in our podcast, created friendships among our team, and allowed for communication and respect throughout our organization.

I gained invaluable skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. I have since been able to teach my skills to other team members, and am the main designer and social media advisor to Finding Founders.

As Experience Institute’s Content Strategist & Producer…

I worked closely with the CEO and co-founder on two brands: the parent Experience Institute brand and the company’s partnership with the University of Pennsylvania, Experience Lab at Penn. As a key part of the marketing team, I sought to bring in clicks, conversions, and leads to both the corporate and the higher education brand.

I was the lead content strategist & producer for all of Ei’s social media. I ran a total of 8 accounts across the two brands, managing the day-to-day posting, scheduling, stories, caption copywriting, and engagement. I also coordinated efforts to create User Generated Content, and ran a small group of Experience Lab at Penn alumni that completed tasks in writing, social media content, and general marketing outreach and engagement. I was a contributing writer for the Experience Lab at Penn blog, and created a 9-part email campaign drip series as a first touchpoint for prospective students. For the corporate Ei branch, I was a daily copyeditor. For both brands, I created daily content, calendared, created ads, edited videos, and designed graphics for use across multiple accounts and digital spaces.

I consistently helped Ei hit KPIs, including 20 monthly downloads from our site and 1,500 unique visitors, and helped bring in 18 enrolled students for our Fall 2021 Experience Lab at Penn cohort. My content had consistent engagement, including a Reel with 5,500+ views, and several other Reels with over 2,000 views.

As Testing Mom’s Social Media Coordinator & Content Strategist…

I was brought in to create a cohesive brand and revitalize the social media presence of the company. Having outsourced their social media to an agency before me, I was assigned to audit the accounts, create a new social media strategy, and execute it weekly with the help of the co-founders and marketing manager. I was given full control of the social media for Testing Mom. I also was tasked with managing content across SEO efforts to help bring organic traffic to the pages and engage with new potential customers.

I created a 7 day, daily post strategy that included 11 posts in total, each highlighting a different fun and educational post-type. This included “Brain Teaser Tuesday” and “Fun Fact Friday”. I designed, copywrote, and scheduled each post, and had full creative control over the content each week. I also handled paid social media boosting, analytics analysis, and video editing for any content that was video oriented. As the SEO manager, I managed a team of 3 writers, spearheaded a grade-level SEO content campaign, and diligently worked to update old pages to meet new SEO standards.

My work with social media brought in an increase in Instagram followers by over 100% in just a 3-month span. I created a consistent social media strategy that brought in new users, and was able to manage an event with over 1,000 participants with the Irwin Family and the Australia Zoo. As SEO manager, I edited and executed over 20+ new pages with my campaigns, with multiple pages being ranked in the top 5 search results.
